Robot pool cleaners: match the cleaner to your pool

Start with the pool

Record length, width, depth and surface material. Steps, benches and corners need a specific check: a large advertised coverage area does not establish that every feature will be cleaned. Confirm pool compatibility in the manual.

Floor, walls and waterline

These are separate tasks. Floor cleaning does not imply wall climbing. Waterline cleaning is also different from collecting floating leaves. Identify the chore that takes your time and look for an explicit specification.

Corded or battery powered

For a battery model, compare cycle length, charging and retrieval. For a corded model, compare usable cable length and the permitted power-supply location. Both require filter care. Follow the manual regarding swimmers and handling.

Match the filter to the debris

Compare access, basket cleaning and the stated filtration level. Leaves and fine particles have different needs. A cleaner handles physical debris; it does not replace water treatment or the pool filtration system.

What a product profile should tell you

Look for coverage, surface compatibility, filters, cycle, charging, retrieval weight and replacement parts. This section is a buying guide. The launch commercial catalogue covers ANTHBOT and Navimow mowers; pool models require verified US offers before inclusion.
